Tennis faithful, Dr Daniel McKorley, chairman of the McDan Group has yet again demonstrated gross love to the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF).
The McDan Group chief presented an air-conditioned Benz Bus (Sprinter) at this year’s McDan Tennis Open West African Championship at the Accra Stadium on Saturday.
To Dr McKorley, the gesture forms part of steps to restore the sport’s fortunes.
“I believe this will help the federation a great deal in carrying out their activities. We want to see tennis assume a paradigm shift, this is one of the many things we have up our sleeves to take the sport high,” said Dr McKorley.
The gesture is the latest support to the country’s tennis governing body (GTF), having bailed them out for an ITF outstanding affiliation fee on two occasions, renovated the Accra tennis court, among other supports.
Youth and Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah, who was present at the final, commended the businessman for his support for tennis in the country.
